I've got two computers that I'd like to hook up with one set of speakers, and I'm wondering if there is any issues doing this just using a Y-cable? The only thing I could think of as a concern is that there's two outputs on one line..not sure if that's ok. This would all be over TRS connector / jack plug.
Normal operation would be that only one computer is outputting at a time, but I could possibly forget and have them both outputting at the same time. I'm guessing this is something where a receiver would normally be used, but is there any problem with ghetto-rigging it like this? MS paint diagram included:
Can’t hear Audio sound After install windows 10 October 2018 update? Or getting no audio output device is installed pops up when you mouse over to the speaker icon on the taskbar. Mostly this problem (No Playback Devices) occurs when your system carries a corrupted sound driver, or the OS fails to recognize your PC’s audio device. And reinstalling the correct Audio driver mostly fix the problem for you. Again sometimes incorrect sound configuration, audio connectivity issue, or audio hardware (sound card) failure etc also cause no audio output device is installed on your system.
