Zorah Magdaros, the massive Elder Dragon you’re chasing in Monster Hunter: World provides some of the best end-game gear, if you can scrounge up enough rare materials off this truly massive monster.
One of the many amazing things you get to learn in the monster hunter world is decoration farming. The decorations are extremely valuable items that are introduced into the game but not until you have unlocked certain high-rank activities, and that you are accustomed to increasing your power further. The problem with decorations is that they are not easy to find.
There are some tedious but effective ways to increase your odds of receiving them. Farming the decorations is a bit slow process but it is a great option. This guide will help you through the process to obtain the decoration farming in MHW. How to Farm Decorations? You receive decorations as rewards from finishing the quests and these are basically little gems. Certain high-rank quests are specifically known to drop these rewards. As decorations could be applied to the very specific type of armor and weapons, you will, therefore, have to get rid of a lower-rank gear. Unless you equip your character player with the appropriate high-rank armor set and weapons, having decorations is entirely futile. There are certain ways you can get your hands on the decorations and can learn how to effectively farm them. The best of these means for farming the decorations is to finish some limited-time event quests. You can find these quests on the quest board. Some of these quests involve slaying smaller monsters. Once, monster hunter world offered a quest that required players to slay 13 Shamos but sadly this mission is no longer available. Although there are other longer and tougher event quests as they consume a lot more time than the simpler quests, choosing them to farm decorations is not really a good idea. - Easier quests are also very rewarding in the sense that you’re always likely to get something out of them. A small quest called ‘Triple Threat Throwdown’ is known to reward players as many as five decorations in a single time and can be easily finished within fifteen minutes. - Higher your hunter rank, the higher your chance of receiving decorations. It is suggested that as your hunter-rank grows into the double digits, you should be looking for what is called ‘tempered investigations’. These tempered investigations are believed to be some of the more reliable sources of acquiring decorations. - Another way you can receive the decorations is hunting the elder dragons such as the likes of Zorah Magdaros, and Nergigante. These dragons are all very likely to drop decorations to reward the hunters. The fights, however, could be severely arduous. You can always visit the melding pot to make your low-quality decorations into worthwhile items. The melding pod becomes more useful as you progress through the game’s story. It is better to store up the items if you are in the start so that you could increase your funds for the purchase.
Each battle against Zorah Magdaros is unique. Thanks to his titanic size, you won’t just fight it like any normal large monster. This guy is the size of a mountain, so that won’t exactly work. That’s why hunting Zorah Magdaros is also one of the slowest grinds in the game. Made even worse by the fact his armor is so invaluable for end-game hunts.
The Zorah Magdaros Armor Set and weapons are only available once you’ve unlocked the High Rank quests. Following this method, you’ll also get a whole lot of zenny — and get enough Zorah Magdaros chunks to build what you need.

You’ll still earn lots of rewards when helping other players, and many, many players will be using SOS Flares in the against Zorah Magdaros. We recommend you get in on this little trick now while the game is still popular. In a year or two, it might not be so easy to farm.

Contractors license test dates california. Before we begin, we should note that Jewels aren't actually unlocked in Monster Hunter World until roughly 30 hours into the massive game. Once you've faced off against Zorah Magdaros for the second time during the 'Monumental Task' quest, you'll be tasked with taking down a Pukei-Pukei, immediately after. It's once you've defeated this Pukei-Pukei that you're then given the task of uncovering some mysterious tracks that belong to a Rathian.
At this point, you’ll have unlocked new High Rank armor in MHW. While High Rank armor sets provide obvious defense boosts over their Low Rank counterparts, they also offer Jewel slots. While you’re at the Smithy in Astera you can use these Jewel slots to equip any Jewels you have in your inventory But how can you reliably obtain Jewels in Monster Hunter World, and what are their actual benefits? Read on for all that and more.
How to Farm Jewels in Monster Hunter World
To reliably earn Jewels in Monster Hunter World, you’ll have to undertake certain High Rank activities. These include:
If you head to the MHW Quest Board in Astera and select the ‘Optional’ tab, you can then bring up a list of all the available optional quests, which will be ranked by difficulty. The High Rank optional quests are denoted by their orange stars, whereas the Low Rank quests are denoted by blue stars. This is also the same with story quests of Monster Hunter World, as you can tell if they’re High Rank quests by whether they have an orange star next to them on the listings page of the Quest Board.
Whenever you complete a High Rank story quest or optional quest, you’ll be taken to the ‘Appraisal Box’ screen, where you can redeem any Jewels earned from completing the quest by selecting the ‘Appraise All’ option near the bottom of the box. Take care to select each Jewel and add them to your inventory, as selecting the option at the bottom again will immediately sell all the Jewels you’ve just earned.
To add Jewels to your weapons and items, you’ll have to head to the Smithy in Astera. At this point, you can see whether your weapons or armor items have any Jewel slots by whether they have the ‘Slot’ denotion under their name and stat listings in your inventory. If they do, you can head down to the ‘Set Decorations’ option from the main menu of the Smithy, and add Jewels on to your items, giving them various statistical boosts, which we’ll explain more about just below.

Based on the Jewels you have in your inventory, you’ll want to select which ones benefit you the most. For example, if you’re wielding Dual Blades then you won’t want to equip a Jewel that boosts ammo firepower for Bowguns. It’s also worth mentioning that you don’t outright bind a Jewel to an armor/weapon item, so you can attach and detach them freely at the Smithy whenever you wish.
